Supplies and materialsfor mine sites
Operating material, spares and consumables to the mine site, with the approval each one requires at its gate.
In mining, transport does not end on the highway: it ends at the mine gate, and there the freight goes in or does not depending on the truck's and the driver's paperwork. Every company keeps its own approval standard, and meeting the law is not enough: you have to meet what that particular site asks for.
What this freight takes
- Driver and vehicle approval
- Each site keeps its own register. A truck that went in last month may not go in today if a document has expired.
- Fatigue control en route
- Mining routes are long and at altitude. Driving and rest times are not a recommendation: they are a condition of entry.
- A coordinated unloading window
- The site works in shifts. Arriving outside the window means waiting for the next one, with the truck and the driver standing still.
Common questions
- Are you already approved at my site?
- It depends which one. Tell us where you unload and we will say plainly whether the network already operates there, or whether the approval has to be done first and how long that takes.
- Do you go up to high-altitude sites?
- Yes, with the equipment and the driver the route requires. Altitude changes the truck's performance and the timings, and that is built into the quote rather than sprung on you later.
- Can you coordinate directly with our procurement team?
- Yes. On recurring operations the normal arrangement is that we coordinate the window straight with the site, and you get the notice when the freight went in.
Tell us what you move
We answer within 24 hours. If your route does not suit us, we say so: that saves you a week waiting for a quote that was never coming.
