What moves on a flatbed or a light truck: cases, pallets, supplies, construction material.
This is the most requested service and the one where the detail is most often underestimated. What decides the equipment is not the total weight but the ratio between weight and volume: a thousand kilos of dense material fits in a light truck, a thousand kilos of bulky material does not. That is why we ask for both before quoting.
What this freight takes
- Declared weight and volume
- A misdeclared tonnage changes the equipment and the price, and at a weighing station it also changes who answers for the fine.
- Securing to match the load
- Pallets, loose cases and stackable material are not secured the same way. Badly secured freight is the leading cause of damage in transit, and it happens in the yard at origin, not on the road.
- Paperwork for the movement
- A dispatch guide with a precise description of what is on board: quantity, unit, weight or volume and unit price, unless it is not a sale, and then the reason for the movement.
Common questions
- Is there a minimum load?
- There is no hard minimum. What changes is the equipment: below a certain volume a light truck makes sense, and above a certain point a full trailer does. You tell us what you move and we propose the right one.
- Do you consolidate freight from different customers?
- It depends on the route and the freight. Where it works, it lowers the cost. Where the load requires exclusivity, we say so in the quote instead of you finding out en route.
- How do I know which equipment I need?
- You do not need to know. The quote form has an option for that, and we work it out from the details of the load.
